Brand Identity
Mikel Latorre is a forester from the Basque Country, Spain. We got excited when he approached us with an idea for the branding of his company Sustraimendi (roots of the mountain). His vision of life and nature resonates with ours at Unbeaten Studio.
The design
As a forester, Mikel works in the trees' best interest to improve the forests' biodiversity and educates municipalities about the benefits of trees in urban environments an how to best care for them. His knowledge on the topic is so rich and remarkable we got a forest immersion as part of our design inspiration.
The tree icon in his logo minimally represents the trees' roots and trails of the mountains. The typography chosen is also clean and clear. Our local forest inspired the green colour palette.
When we apply Life-Centered Design in branding, it is all about using nature as a source of inspiration, gathering new insights on the topics and collaborating with like-minded people who work for nature's best interest, in this case, the trees, the forest and its ecosystems.
