Nyenrode Business University is the most prestigious business university in the Netherlands. When Jaap Schaveling, professor of Leadership & Cooperation, approached us to co-develop the renewed thesis track for the modular MBA, we felt honored.
Nyenrode wants to generate sustainable added value for its students, organisations, and society as a whole. This fits our way of thinking and working.
The design
Together with Jaap Schaveling we developed the very first syllabus around Life-Centered Design. This syllabus provides students with the basics of Life Centered Design, why it's needed, and how to use it as an adductive research method during a thesis project.
Life-Centered Designing is a regenerative design approach that looks at the needs of the ecosystems, not only humans. Problems are currently complex and complicated, meaning we need an adductive, co-creative, scientific, and systemic approach to comprehend today's issues and address these situations.

If we want to change the ecosystems we live in for the better, we have to educate people about humans' impact on biological ecosystems. We have to reconnect to nature to be able to create regenerative ecosystems, businesses, and communities. Expertise in Life-Centered Design is valuable for professionals and leaders of all levels, today and in the future.
